The topic of money is one of the most controversial subjects in the world today. The perception of what it is and who should have it varies widely. Only very few have come to understand and master this resource, and are therefore using it for their advantage. The Holy Bible remains the greatest and only true source of revelation on the subject. Throughout the Scriptures, we see God’s desire and plan for His children to be blessed with money and His instructions on how to govern it.
Money is a spirit and it speaks. It has power, influence, personality and control. When you have money, it controls you; when you don’t, it mocks you. When it is present with you, it tries to control you; and when you don’t have it, it shows off with pride. Money can be intoxicating with the presence of absence of it. It represents your character. If you are a good man and you have it, you will do good things with it; but if you are a wicked or greedy person, your money will represent you in evil deeds, both of which have their repercussions.
As an individual, make up your mind to be in control of money, because that is what God wants for you. Having and controlling it is just a decision away. It is very easy to get money. Note that it is difficult to be poor and truly serve the Lord with a joyous heart. Your prayers will be full of complaints and requests for yourself. Intercession for others will be a struggle. You will find yourself negotiating with God when it comes to paying your tithes or giving your offerings. Poverty and walking in God’s word are two parallels; those lines will never meet.
There is no short cut to success, wealth or any of the qualities that man aspires to have. These verities are controlled by Laws, which control the order of things that have been set in place by God to work for us, if we observe them. The Law that governs having or receiving, is the Law of Sowing and Reaping. In Genesis Eight, verse twenty two, God stated that
While the earth remains, seedtime (planting time) and harvest (reaping) ... shall not cease.”
This is definite, if you sow, you will reap here on earth. If you give, you will receive, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and overflowing, shall men give to your bosom. If you gave to “others”, you would have been receiving a good harvest now. This was the problem of the prodigal son. When he had his money he neither invested in God, people nor in assets. He spent all his inheritance on riotous living; without a sense of self-discipline or control over his appetite. Soon enough there was a famine that engulfed the whole land and he began to be in want. He lost everything and no one gave to him. His situation was so bad that he was content to feed on swine’s food. What a life! Does this in any way sound familiar? Thank goodness he had enough sense to assess his situation and look at the options available to him to get out of his financial and material mess. This is why I am writing to you today. You have options. It is to get you out of where you are to your God-destined place of abundance. Understanding money and your divine purpose as one that has been saved and lifted by God, should set in you a desire to tame and control money.
You were made to dominate everything God created from the first to the fifth day of The Creation. Wealth and riches are some of the created things that you ought to exercise your dominion over. Make up your mind to supervise money and its movement. Your mastery over money is your ability to release it. This is the beginning of the taming process.
I pray for you, for unprecedented increase as you activate the Power of God for financial and material wealth and influence, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Write to me and share your testimony as you move from one level of grace and increase to the next. God bless you.
